Data Migration

  • Played keys roles in the successful implementation of a full customer and policy migration from an Oracle based General Insurance system to GuideWire InsuranceSuite 7 (PolicyCenter and BillingCenter) including screen development and product configuration (GOSU & Java).

  • Converted and migrated 60,000 active and historical PI claims from Inform to a replacement Figtree insurance system (SQL Server). Developed a suite of T-SQL routines to independently reconcile the financials between the source and target systems.

  • Converted and migrated the general insurance data from an Oracle DB and Oracle forms UI to an off-the-shelf SQL Server based insurance system (Sirius v1.13)

  • Provided the detailed migration strategy and developed middleware processes to migrate a client from an Oracle based system to a bespoke JAVA-developed rules engine and application

  • Setup the SQL Server infrastructure for a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) enterprise solution public retail website. Provided general support and maintenance during testing/user acceptance testing. Developed a migration tool to allow users to move product images, product information and pricing information into MOSS via an interim SQL Server database

  • Migrated a Sun based Accounting system to Finance One (Technology One)

  • Converted general insurance motor vehicle data into Redbook categorisation format

  • Extensively cleansed customer address data to align with NZPost's Postal Adddress File (PAF) standards

  • Formulated a strategy for the successful migration of an entire mainframe system based in the U.S. to a UNIX (Oracle) system in the U.K.

  • Developed and supported CORBA middleware to transport message data between a mainframe (Oracle), a series of disparate servers (UNIX and Linux), and a client PC network.
