Millennium Dome

Greenwich, July 24th 2000

The Dome was a bit of a disappointment really as unfortunately we found that the bad press reports seemed to be true. Most of the exhibits are either tacky or a waste of time - you tend to come out of them asking yourself "What was that all about?". Sammie best summed it up by saying that her favourite part was the "rest zone" which was basically a soundproof shell where you sat in near darkness listening to odd music! Two things did impress me however - the sheer size of the Dome and the engineering of it are amazing and it's worth a visit just to stand in the centre and look up. The other thing that we unanimously enjoyed was the acrobatic show which was brilliant.
